Cross picking

hi im new to these forums so if theres already topics on this sorry

im not really new to guitar, been self teaching myself for just over a year now, can play not too bad (not great though) but i can't cross pick (alternate pick) very well anyone know of any good exercises i can use to get better?

if im just watching tv or whatever. ill have my guitar with me and practice it on just one string while i watch tv

basically, just have small strokes and practice. I thought I would never do it, but hey I managaed
