I would say to you all, that if your just doin it for fun, play what you like - regardless of difficulty or musicality. However, if you want to be one of the greats, you may find it useful to play all styles. And, if you want to make a few bucks playing guitar, you may find that learning some jazz will get you a couple hundred dollars at some gig.

...just a couple things to think about.
There are only two important things in life - There's music and theres girls, not necessarily in that order....
