Been using Ernie Ball Regular Slinky's (10-46) for as long as I can remember (been playing 27+ years). I did use Daddario's at one time but found the EB's to be better. If I break a string once a YEAR that's a lot. They also maintain tone for acceptable amount of time. If you're breaking strings (regardless of brand) you may want to check the bridge saddles for any roughness/sharpness and the nut for "pinching". Where the string breaks will usually indicate these problems.
