Today I just got back my guitar from the shop so I connected it to my amp and it started an annoying buzz but when i touched the strings it goes away. Then I turn off the 1st tone knob on my les paul and it goes away. What do you think I should do?

The most obvious question is did your guitar buzz like this before it went to the shop? If the answer is yes, take it back and ask them to fix it. In the future please include in your post info like, I got X, Y, & Z done at the shop and now my guitar does X..... that helps us out, we get alot of folks that like to leave out the fine details like, I dropped my guitar off a tall building, and when I play in a room with 15 computer monitors it makes a strange noise, those little details are sometimes important :) .............

hi, there is a one thing of buzzing too, your pickup. first try to put it deeper in and if it does not help there is a way that helped a lot of people, me too.
try to take out your pickup and put ander it a similar sized 1-2 milimeter foam (like from the egg foam) and it helps. one guy told me this at Dean forum
try to go there www.deanguitars.com find a guy named Stone in the forum and ask him about it.
