HI need help.

Whatz up everyone this is my first post and im also new to this site. So far i really enjoy it.

But i need a answer or few tips.
I've being playing guitar for 2-3 years now. I have being playing by my self. Im not a bad guitar player, actually those that now me think im good and what not.
My problem is everytime i try to play in front of other people i get tense and i seem to get nevous. Makes me feel like that I just can't play good enough, I start making mastakes and what not and ended up sounding like a beginer.

my question is (or if any tips) how can i get over this (being nervous ect..) and just play the way I normally do?

Do it more -- you have to get it through your head that the situation is no different -- you're focusing on the attention and not the guitar. You need to switch the focus.

i thought i was through
cus i have terrible stage fright but i got over it
this is how
start of with a bend
nothin calms the nevres like a bend
a nice solid one
like Gilmour style nice and slow but go high with it
another thing man is that i really believe that i improve only wen i push myself to do somethin i thought i couldnt wen i reached a point that i can go pretty nutz
like just tappin and wat not

you will see your audinece pleasently surprised which well cause you to have more self confidence

it really helped my playing also cus you start given it all you got

you start to love the attention wen ppl began to see that i was moving away from the beginners level it was like wow
everyone would come over and watch me play and ask questions and stuff and that really boosts your ego a bit
i still suck i just convince myself the ppl who are watching wana hear you play so you play your heart out for them dude

hey man! i had the exact same problem but what you've got to realize is that if your playing in front of people who know nothing about playing anything you do is cool!!! just rock out & have fun, if you **** up just laugh at yourself & everyone will laugh with you insted of at you!!

i also had the same kinda stage fright problem. what i tended to do, was just warm up and look at my left hand, then as my fingers loosened up, so did i, and i became less nervous.

Does are all very good tips.
I will sure try and keep everything in mind.

the thing that helped me was your up there for fun showing people you talent when you srcrew up laugh it off .most of the time they never here it any ways.and if they did laughing will make it look like your a sport and you've done it for years and it doesnt matter what others think.and last just make sure you have fun and dont pay attnetion to what they think youll do good in time.

Sometimes the mistake makes the song cooler; if you mess up just keep playing. Don't go back to the part you messed up and try to fix it. Just stay with where the song is. To them it will probabily sound like you added a cool guitar trick in the middle of the song.

No one is perfect. At concerts or on live cds of professional bands you can here lead guitar players making mistakes too. Its not often, but it does happen. In the studio they use tricks to edit out mistakes on their regular cds.
