You have no idea how many times Ive been in a situation where someone has felt the need to drag me along the side instead of giving it to me straight. You just have to kind of feel your way around, because when you're at an audition they won't always tell you what they're looking for, sometimes they expect you to figure it out. Theres only so much for being optimistic, but still on a professional standpoint its important to at least give hard working musicians the slightest idea of what you're looking for.
