Does any body know whats happened to Al Pitrelli since he left Megadeth? is he going solo, or has he formed a new band, or just quit music all together??

Hes the guitarist of Savatage
He used to be in Savatage, then left to join Megadeth, then came back to Savatage.
BTW, he sucks in Megadeth. He plays Marty's solos horribily.
Though in Savatage he give Vai a run for his money
so if you really wanna hear Al, then get a Savatage CD.

i would agree, he doesn't really play marty's stuff well. i wondered where he went, and i'll check out he's real stuff, not the megadeth stuff

Personally, I think Dave has a probolem with guitarists being better than him. If you've heard Cacaphony with Marty and Jason before Marty joined Megadeth, Marty was rippin and rappin with the guitar... Then he made really bad stuff like RISK. I think that Dave has an influence on that

it's his ego. it's like megadeth is his band and he owns everyone in it, that's why there new album apparently sux. personally, i'm glad he left metallica and glad he formed megadeth, but he should accept that there are guitarists who are a whole lot better than he is.
