What happened to good old guitartricks.com?
I haven´t been here in a while so I noticed everything is changed. I can´t listen to anything or look at some tabs? What have you done to this site that used to be so good?!

yeah, this site has changed. it's think it's called moving with the times. now this site offers video lessons, or at least Dr Simon does which is cool and very hepful. you can still view lessons, just change the type of file from a flash file to a text file to see tabs.

The trouble is free videos, lessons, and music files are available in lots of other places on the net. So I personally wont be paying.
To me, guitartricks is a site with a forum which is different to others in that we have good friendly members. You ever been on the xbox forum?! They all slag each other off!
I like to come here at the end of the day and relax! :)

I've looked through most of the files before the change, and barely any of them had any real difficulty to them. I respect the Country-Picker (I think his name is Terry Couch?), and maybe a few others, but overall I don't think it's worth the $5 dollars. To a beginner, maybe. But most of the files are not actually lessons, unless you count copping someone else's riffs lessons...

have you any idea how much effort making a video lesson involves ?
Well heres is a clew:
software/per instructor : 800 bucks (min)
time spent worrying about weather people will like it: 0
Expected money brought i by new pay system : ~30/ year
Deficit per instructor: oh about -770 bucks
