hey peeps just got news that john petrucci has at last nearly finished his solo album :D the artwork has been released for the cover it looks awsome !! and will sound even better :D its gona be called suspended animation :)

No date yet they just released the art work for it so it should be soon, its just a matter of time before we get to hear it :D

yep cant wait here either :D i got DreamTheater live at Budokan for christmas.. i have all their albums and johns rock discipline dvd his book wild stringdom and an evening with John Petrucci and Jordon Rudess cd too and that rocks.. :D

WOW!! your quite the Petrucci fan!! i'm not his biggest fan as i haven't heard too much of his playing, so is there anything that you would recommend me getting, either by Petrucci or Dream Theater?

Hi there hammetthead well if u want to get something to ease u into the DreamTheater listening mood I suggest u get the -Images and Words- cd its quiet easy to get and good listening too but their new album -Train of Thought- is also excellent and shows how they have progressed with new ideas but still havent lost their roots or failing those 2 anything else by them is awsome... :D

ah, thnx :D what type of music do they play? is hard rock, thrash metal, old metal or summin different?

Prog rock :D they can can have extremes in their songs.. going from heavy riffs to melodic and back again but very well thought out and their songs are like 10 - 20 mins long lol :D i love the way they use the keyboard alongside the guitar solos it gives a lot of substance to their songs plus damn hard to play along too lol

a friend of mine sent me some of their songs as i asked them to. from first listening to them, they sound really good! and the song was 10 mins long!!!
