So i just got my new axe cause i wanan get back into it at the moment i can play some bits and peices, like a few of my favorite intros to songs i enjoy to listen to also a few riffs which is a nice thing to be able to do i think. but as i just got my new axe i wish to get into it more rather then just creating my own riffs and playing others. now i cant see myself using any of those books ive thought about a dvd i havnt looked into this much yet but i remember last i was in a music shop with some of the instrument books there was like books on guitars from popular bands like "learn your guitar with *artist here*" any dvd's like this with any metal artist by any chance? now im into metal of course mainly thrash/death/black metal so what would u guys recommend is there any dvd's that will teach many of the technics used in those styles?

basicly im just looking for a liltle nudge in the right direction so any one willing to lend a bit of advice this would be much appreated

THANKS :D!

as far as metal books go i have the art of kirk hammett and not really that metal, but i also got a joe satriani book. the tab books of artists are ok but in the majority of guitar shops they have dvd's on specific artists. try out e-bay or amazon for some instructional vids!!
