Im just starting

hey, i just got my guitar and amp like last week, what should i learn? i want to play like michelangelo baito and steve vai and paul gilbert.

Well you're gonna have to nail down some theory. But I'd hold of on that at least a little while until you get some of the mechanics of the instrument down. Have you looked into taking lessons?

I love when people say things like this. Well, don't worry, there's nothing you can learn right now that will allow you to play like those guys. It will take a few years before you can even touch their songs! Right now, just stick to the basics and in a few years you'll be belting out Racer X like it was Mary Had a Little Lamb. But as for now, let's keep belting Mary Had a Little Lamb like it was Mary Had a Little Lamb.
