total guitar had an issuse devoted to blues which came with a free 19 track blues backing tracks with no solos. try their website and see if you can get that issue.
Hi, Learning the different scales on your guitar is key to being a good blues player. The pentatonic and blues scales are the easiest to begin with and will offer you a wide range of sounds to play with. Your speed and timing will get much better with a little practice and soon you will be able to add a lick or two with the lead and improve your playing sound ten fold.
This tutorial has MP3s of bass & drums backing tracks for 12 bar blues in all 12 keys. And at two different tempos! Slower (80 BPM) & faster (120 BPM). A total of 24 backing tracks for endless blues fun!
I have come across many great guitar sites over the years - my favorite for free backing tracks is www.guitarbt.com. They are doing a bit of redesigning right now, but there's tones of backing tracks for guitarists there.
Have fun with it.
