Is it hard to change your own pickups? and is there an easy way to explain how to do it...or any websites...anything

But honestly is it a good idea for me to change my own pickups lol...is there alot of things that can go wrong?


and whats the difference between f spaced pickups and normal pickups?

f spaced means that the pole pieces (the 6 metal bits ontop of your pickup) are laid out to fit a flyod rose style tremolo system i think :cool: ther isnt any erason why you shouldn't change your own as long as you can solder and have a fairly basic knowledge of electronics :) if you're going for a straight swap of say single coil to single coil or humbucker to humbucker, then it should be fine, if you have alot of doubts, just removeone wre then solder the new pickup, then remove another wire etc :D

I do that anyway...change my own pickups I mean ;)


...remove the old solder!dont use the old solder!Use that bulb/sucky thing to get rid of it...

Its not hard at all..Takes maybe 30 minutes from guitar apart to guitar back together again. Most pickups that you buy come with a few wiring diagrams.
