Give up all things and play guitar. Future reference when u ask as all other do "will i ever get good?" or "how do i get good?", the answer is practice.
WWSD? What would stevie do?

My advice is two fold:
1) check out the lessons section of this site
and
2) go to a record / music store and get a song book containing songs you A) like and B) know well enough to hum / whistle. Then sit down with the song book and learn the accompaniment to your favorite songs.

This is how I started 20+ years ago.

I am in the process of putting together 6 or so "total beginners lessons" which should be finished tomorrow so check the "lessons" section of this sight. I am also in the process of writing a lesson about DIY guitar set-up and my "Build your own Project studio" should satisfy the most ravenous appetite to tech stuff !

Im just about done, I still need a USB Midi interface (50 bucks) and a USB wireless remote transport control (have to wait from after Winter NAMM for that one ). Yep and then, for the time being, Im done !

Was kind of curious, but registered to your site non-the-less...I clicked on the beginners page and was suprised to see tabulature instead of visuals and/audios...
Hummmmm, intresting fact: how would a beginner know how to read notes?
Ah yes....there is was......subscribe, subscribe, subscribe....

Hidden at the bottom notes..."This section available ONLY for highband (another word for paying) subscribers!!! and only seen AFTER the poor soul registers...And Oh what a bonus for you site huh?...Free emails for all your advertisers...

Yet another *%@#$%^! gimmick.
Should've know. Like my Father once said...nothing is free...
Hey Giutar Tricks, I'll pay the $17.50 and get lessons locally from a human being.

Only thing missing from your site name is Trickery rather then tricks!
