early 80's Squire and a Telacoustic. Anybody else???
Any Tele Junkies out there?
I'm fairly new, so I don't know if anyone has ever done a thread like this but, anyway. I'm a tele fanatic. I've got a MIM Standard, a MIM 60's Classic, an

Welcome aboard! I don't qualify as a fanatic (not yet anyway), but I'm waiting for the arrival of a Washburn SBT-21. It's a Tele-bodied guitar with a piezo bridge pickup for zero-feedback amplified acoustic sound. I may drop a nice P90 into it at the neck.

I have a 90-sumpin' MIM Tele Special. You know, with a neck humbucker, 5 way switch and TBX tone.
My plans for it are a custom wound pickup in the bridge, a Duncan Invader in the neck and whatever else strikes my fancy at a so far unforseen time that I find myself with money.

I love Tele's, I always compare other guitars to it. I've done lots of mods to it, but I can still get traditional Tele sound out of it when I want. I want to get more, I only have one right now. I'd like a 52, a 60's, and a Nashville or Texas version.

I've been GAS'n for a Tele for some time now, but I can never make up my mind on exactly how I want it.

I have a '96 Japanese 50th anniversary Tele. Picked it up about a month ago (salmon pink..ugh! Want to repaint it) and last week inherited a '56 Tele form a relative. Absolutely fantastic guitar in mint condition. I love the sound that comes out of that guitar, for I am too....a Tele Junkie.

My new/old Washburn SBT-21 just arrived!
It's a cream, bolt-on neck, Telacoustic type, with piezo bridge saddle pickup. I haven't plugged it in yet (I'm at work), but unplugged it sounds sweet!!
This could be the start of a beautiful friendship.

Oh, yaaassss!
This is great! Rich acoustic sound, and no feedback unless I'm leaning into the speakers at painful volume levels. Which is kinda fun. :D
Suweeeeeett!!!

Is it a solid body or chambered? I have one of the Fender Telecoustics. I know they got lousy reviews but I like mine a lot.

Washburn makes lovely guitars, but their customer support for older gear is non-existent. So I don't have any info from the people that actually built this thing.
As near as I can tell, though, it's chambered. It definitely feels too light to be all solid, and some of the descriptions on sites I've surfed mentioned chambers.
Whatever. It feels, plays, and sounds just fine to me.
