hello my amp is a crate xt15r.
I was using the extra speaker today, and if never used it.So i plugged the chord to one of my speakers into another cable so it would fit into the amp,it worked.

The sound was bad and the speaker was old so the sound was kind of messy. Then when i took the speaker out and went back to just the amp,it stopped working-no sound at all.The amp still gets power but now neither of the clean or gain channels works.

Oh and i check all the wiring inside the guitar and there is nothing wrong there.
???????????

I'm not sure what you're trying to describe. Can you answer a few questtions?

Uhh, what do you mean, "bad"? "old"? "messy"?

Did it work for a while, and then stop, or did it not work at all? Is there a fuse that might have blown?

What tests did you do to reach that conclusion?

the amp isnt a tube,its a solid state i believe,and its only
15 w.The speaker is built into the amp itself(in the back).
The "extra speaker" is just a stereo speaker, not a crate accesory or anything.

The cord that runs from the speaker, its red and black, and with bronze inside,so i twisted them together, stuff them inside on of those small 2$ headphone jacks for the amp and then plugged it into the amp itself.

before i plugged it in i turned everything all the way down, every switch. Then when everything was connected i turned the amp on then slowly turned up the volume and EQ's.

after playing for only a few seconds it wasnt that loud so i turned it up more, then turnt on my DS-1 to see what it sounded like threw the one speaker. After that the sound kinda went in and out, kind of static like, but thats because of the way the speaker was plugged so loosly into the amp.

after i was done i turned off the amp, unplugged it,turned down the volume knobs again, and turned it back on,then,no noise,no nothing.

so i checked the sodering and what not inside the guitar, and everytthing was fine there.I didnt really perform and tests, its just that if had to do new sodering before so i thought id check that as well.

I do know that when i looked online for my amp model not only a few days ago on crates website i couldnt find it,and theres nothing in my owners manual about this of course.
