If you go on the gibson website and listen to a guitar, this for example, http://www.gibsoncustom.com/flash/signature/rock/perry/JoePerry.html , the stuff they play is always groovey chords and lead together.

how do you learn to play like that? You never see intricate stuff liek that tabbed, and it isnt played in rock or metal. So how do I learn that kinda stuff.

When ever I sell a guitar to a buyer, and they have a shot, they always play things like that. A chord then slide up the fret board, bend a note, then whip out a few more chords! I always wonder where the heck all that comes from!
are they literally just played chords that fit into the scale and randomly adding a few in!
