go buy yourself any pedal
just pick one up and only play on it
first of all everything will sound diffrent
even turn the distortion off just to get in touch with the pedal and i am willing to bet you will number one:make that pedal sound better then alot of ppl if you use it for long enough number two:you will develop a completely diffrent style since the pedal effects the sound and maybe will swing you more to phycadelia or just away from what you are used to playing

i notest he just took a pedal and loaded on the destortion
he did something no one else did
and ppl now adays dont really use pedals
exept for distortion
o ya this theory only works for most pedals that you pick up
