Im thinking about buying a Hamer USA Studio Custom guitar from my guitar teachers store. They are really nice guitars but are hefty in price at about 3000 dollars list, but I will be getting it for 2200. Has anyone else played one, if so, what do you guys think of them? My guitar teacher owns about 30 hamers ( no joke ) and loves them.

Hamer's are very nice and very well built guitars. However, for that price, I would rather have another PRS. But, they are two different beasts, so, for that kind of money, if it doesn't make you want to cry because it sounds, play's, and feels so good, then move on to something else.

Don't part with any cash until you have played PRS CE or Custom 22 and 24 guitars. You might also want to try out a Gibson or 2 !

For that much cash you should be getting a dream guitar, don't settle for second best !! Also Don't listen to what other people say about guitars, particularly if they are the ones doing the selling !

Try many your self and decide what suits you !

If you know the guy ask to take the guitar you fancy home and play it for a week or two. I have let people I have sold guitars do this and it is not an unreasonable request !
My instructors page and www.studiotrax.net for all things recording.

You might like a custom guitar instead. Try a Driskill or Thorn. Maybe a Victor Baker.

There's a hella lot of great options in that price range.

I scored a brand new Gold Top Studio P90 Hamer USA in Berkley CA for $1300, brand ****in new. I think the sales people got confused between the one I got and a lefty the store owner bought, and then wanted to sell. A $3000 guitar for $1300. Oh lucky day.

you need a place on the web to host your pictures like http://www.photobucket.com. Then, when you get some pictures uploaded on their site, under each picture there will be 3 lines of text, you will need to copy the text next to "Img" and then you paste it in your messege. This will make the picture appear like so:

that is one fine looking guitar!!!!!! wish I could get my grubby hand's on one!

Looks like it's got a nice wide neck on it. That's one thing I love about my PRS, is the neck. It's got plenty of space to move around on and has some girth to it, but not too much.

yeah, I actually had to learn to like it. I went in hoping for an orange sunburst studio, but seeing as that was the only one they had, I had to take it. Now I love it. I changed the bridge p90, because i was in the studio at the time and it hummmed like p90s do, so they stuck a dimarzio somethinorother in there. In fact, this was the first time I recorded where they actually let me use my entire rig on the album. The Boogie rig in the background and that Hamer sound awesome, and it's good, because now my live sound is the same as the album. Some of those kids notice these things.
