Another Brick in the Wall (Korn?.....wtf?)
Has anyone heard this cover of 'Another Brick in the Wall' by Korn? I don't know about anyone else, but as a long time fan of Pink Floyd I think it's an insult to all music.

Well, I'll reserve final judgement until I hear the song, but the thought alone does perturb me quite a bit.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

It can't be much worse than the castrated version of 'Comfortably Numb', and I survived that, though with heavy brain damage and gender confusion. In fact, I don't think I want to hear it, not even just to judge it.

There were a lot of songs I didn't realize were covers of older stuff when I was growing up, so I can only fear that some younger people will now grow up thinking this is the real version of the song. So much for the future of music.
To their credit though, Korn actually did a decent job covering the song, but that's not the issue.

Almost every famous song has at least once been the subject of a real bad cover,
yet that doesn't affect the original song all that much.
I heard some punk-highschool-rock-version of "Imagine" not long ago.
People often know what's worth listening to.
I heard it once on the radio, and it has never been played since.

I think this version is friggin awesome! it kind of retains the floydian sound, but makes it a lot heavier. it's not bad, just different, and i like it.

ew, i just heard korns version of another brick in the wall it was bad :(
i heard this cover of stairway to heaven, the guy had to play it a little slow and he was making a joke out of how he didnt know the song so it kind of sucked.
a perfect circle did a cover of john lennons imagine, its ok i guess. it makes the song a bit darker.
the sad thing is that i am 16 and when i hear cover songs on the radio i am usually the only one who knows who the original band is out of all of my friends. what is the world comming to
ps. i really really really like linkin park, i think they are amazing musicans

Yeah, I like Linkin Park too. It's very good 'muzak' for the gym and stuff like that. I just don't think they should be in the business of doing covers.

oh, i absolutly love them. i would do anything to be able to write a song with Chester Bennington.
and yeah linkin park doesnt need to do covers, anyways some dude did a cover of one of their songs and it sounded terrible
