Let me start off by saying hello as this is my very first time here.

I purchased this Ibanez earlier today at a local Thrift Store for $35, I spotted the old case it came in and was impressed to find that the guitar was in very good condition, I'm not a musician but i figured I'd get it as it seemed like a good deal to me even with an untrained eye for guitars.

It seems to resemble an RG model from I've looked up on ebay but all i know of it is that it was made in korea and this is the number i found on the back 9113684 and that it's for a left handed person.

Here's two pics of it, hope it helps and that you can help me finding the year and model of it.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

The closest that Ive found to it is the RG 170RBK but this guitar is of course an older model so model numbers would not match i guess I'll have to look for vintage RGs on Ebay and compare, I'll send pics to Ibanez for them to help me out but that takes time.

A pic of the RG 170RBK as to compare below on link.

I don't think it's a lower end guitar by the pick-ups, and left handed guitar would fetch a higher price, and someone out there has to love turtles. :D

Most Thrift Stores have mostly junk that's true you just have to be consistant in visiting them to find good stuff especially on 50% off days as for the guitar it was a 30% off day.

But I've gotten some very good speakers, stereo equipment, computer accesories at a very good price, as women sem to go for clothes and furniture and nik-naks and guys mostly think it's all junk mean while I go a few days a week and keep getting some great bargains that I can even turn around and sell on ebay. ;)

Ponyone, this dude doesn't sound like he's gonna give you a good deal, LOL.

And wellcome to the forum, Isaiah!! (You're a prophet, right?).

I don't know much but I know this, that you don't find to many airbrushed, left-handed guitars on starter kits. ;)

So by this i can tell that the only person PonyOne is trying to help is himself. :D

And no my name is not Isaiah nor Elisha, Elijah, Samuel, Joshua, Jeremiah, Daniel, Ezekiel, Joel, Hosea, none of those, just plain old Tony.

Kingdavid, are you the son of Jesse and father of Soloman and the grandson of Boaz? are you the one who killed Goliath and who later was annointed King by the prophet Samuel after King Saul disobeyed God?
