IMO, that stuff isn't real music, and because I wasn't listening to real music back then, I began losing my motivation to play the guitar.

there are good guitar riffs in rap music. p diddy's, puff daddy, whatever u wanna call him has a good riff in the song ( if i can call it a song) 'bad boy for life'. although he did have the advantage of dave navarro on guitar. but some of eminem' songs also have good guitar riffs 'like cleaning out my closet'.

but i do agree that rap isn't the best genre of music for inspirational guitar playing.

now if anyone wants to get this thread back on the subject......
