Whoops,didn't read the last part.

Yeah,if you just want a nice bedroom amp then the spider 2 will please.I played the 2x12 for like two hours at the music store...you'll get some great sound.
I wouldn't want to be seen with the stack though since it seems so 'fisher price'...it would be like using an ibanez stack or an ultra cheap crate stack..

Why do companys even make crap stacks?

I have an older version of the 50w version of that amp. For the price it's not bad, but I would save up for a decent tube setup.

I play the Spyder II head through a full stack through a full stack of Crates, and it covers everything i need it to. Then again, i play in a band that's mostly heavily influenced by Paradise Lost. However, I could foresee playing almost any style i needed to on the amp, as it has amazing versatility, very good for the money in my opinion. Then again, I play a Ibanez JEM 7VH, it has the ability to make almost any amp sound genius. However, when testing the Spyder II in-store i played a mid-level $600 or so Jackson and was pleased enough on it.

Yo, I play Line 6. I had a Spider 210 for a while and recently upgraded to a higher end model. For the money, the tone and versatility of the Spider series can't be beat.

Then I'm pretty sure they improved the series from when they made mine. I know they changed quite a few things, but I wasn't sure how much.
