Dualing Guitars

hey, i've tried to get that sweet dualing guitar sound, but i cant get it. Ive tried octaves. Is their anything im missing? :confused:

Dualing?I know you mean 'the sound of two guitars playing together in harmony' but 'Dueling' is when two take turns within a song making it as if there facing each other(hence dueling),but its really to compliment the song.

Anyway,'anything' relative to the notes being played will create the effect.Are you playing with someone else or recording yourself?

[font=trebuchet ms]You need to 'split' your sound into two signal paths. You could send a slightly delayed feed into harmonizer and pan it into a different stereo position. Even a different EQ setting can help the listener's ears separate the sounds, but a short delay is vital to getting them to 'appear' as two different instruments.[/font]

Sure there are .... The most popular harmonizing intervals are 3rds (from the key you're playing in) , 5ths (like power chords) , 4ths (like inverted power chords) , and of course octaves .
