Man, i just got rid of my explorer for that reason. Even with poistioning the strap somewhere else and what not, it was really bothersome. I loved how the guitar looked, but playing it got annoying and even painful for my wrist at times, dunno, maybe i just never got the hang of it. I personally wouldnt recommend it yet a lot of musicians like them.
