I think the next wave of hard/metal music may be decent compared to the sugar coated nu-metal crap fed over the last 9-10 years.

Bands like shadowsfall, lamb of god,BLS,cradle of filth, dimmu borgir are getting tons of exposure.Note that none of these bands would make my top 20 or anything, but they have a good deal of talent and who knows...those old bandwagon nu-metalers may grow an ear for more complex(albeit slightley)music...its possible

I listened to a few Children of Bodom songs the other day and was really digging their music, but then the "singer" came on and even as far as scream-singers go this guy was bad. Maybe their tour bus will wreck (a la metallica) and kill him, then the band will just go on as an instrumental band and be way cooler.

Sorry leedog...the guy who 'sings' is also the bands best guitarist(I doubt this is debatable).
Try thier 'Hate crew deathroll' album...he has improved on each album....kinda.

I really think the music outweighs his mediocer voice though.

I believe Rock will never die it will come back up... look at punk from the 70's.. it came back in a different form. It has been really whipped around into boy bands lately but when bands like green day, offspring etc. came in they were poppy but not like wussy poppy like these other bands. The ramones were poppy but they were like what we see punk, or should i say wannabe punks on todays radio. But bands like ozzy and stuff will come back, rock bands like G&R will come back its just a matter of time, Thats what i believe. But for now we suffer but will rise :)

I just had a random thought, what if a band like busted had to open for metallica...lol wow
Mike ;)

First of all, this sentence makes no sense. Secondly, The Ramones invented punk.

Well, OK, maybe not, but they were the granddaddies of punk.
... and that's all I have to say about that.
