I'm seriously considering building a kit guitar. #1 on the list is the Strat clone from Torres with Power Strat upgrade. Torres
Anybody have and pros or cons on this kind of project. I have access to all the woodworking tools that I need as well as a sprayer for applying the finish.
Thanks in advance

i did the same thing, but i got mine from some other site for $88.. 1reason or somethin like that.. but anyways - i thought mine was great, the hardware is a little cheap, the screwheads shred like immediatly.. the bridge and stuff is good though.. tuners are ok.. an upgrade would be nice.. the pickups are pretty terrible in my opinion.. but if your upgrading it doesnt matter.. the pickguard isnt shielded so guess what! even more noise! yay! The kit all finished stock is like a Squier affinity strat..
its def worth the money because you get to customize your own guitar the way you want it done. the body and neck are nice, i love the neck taper, its perfect, but thats my opinion, nice fretwork, pretty nice quality of wood.. the body is like a 4 peice.. but its an electric guitar.. if your not picky it doesnt matter..
