It's a beautiful day the sun is rising
And so am I to start surprising
you
Now here I come.

It's the perfect time to get out of bed
Rub your eyes you sleepyhead
It's true
Still suck your thumb.

It's a beautiful day the sun is shining
if I spend it eating I'll spend it dining
with you
let's have some fun.

It's the perfect day to run around
Take off your shoes put your feet on the ground
I'm through
With feelin' numb.

What better time to roll down the hill
So randomly we turned and tossed
The laughter shattered endless still
The grass stains come out in the wash.

It's beautiful evening the day is dyin'
If I spend it weepin' I'll spen it cryin'
with you
It's time to go.

Was a brilliant day we both had fun
But the brilliant day is gone and done
It's through
Want you to know.

I wave goodbye, you blow a kiss
I think somehow it might have missed
and hit the pole
Where the street light was aglow.

I turn to leave as you close the door
I miss you now just a foot or four
away
And I'm walkin' home.

What better time to roll down the hill
So randomly we turned and tossed
The laughter shattered endless still
The grass stains come out in the wash.
I want the bomb
I want the P-funk!

My band is better than yours...

I don't think I really get it, since it seems to me that this guy is a stalker or something, judging from the 2nd last verse.

But, depending on the musical accompaniment, this might sound pretty A-OK, and I pity da foo' who disagrees.

Oh no, that's A-Team.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

no no, that's "a foot or four in whole" not "a foot or four in A hole, waiting for you to come out." But if it's that ambiguous, it goes away. The accompanyment is in D, it's just Dmaj Gmaj Amaj Dmaj

It reminds me lyrically of a song by Jewel called the morning song sort of.

Wow... risen from the dead....!

I just think maybe I don't understand this song. But I'm not too quick to understand songs; I didn't get "Brick" by Ben Folds Five until someone cam out and told me what it was about.
