Well, I started on my Firebird refinish project...laboring for hours to strip the horrid red paint...only to discover that their "all mahogony" guitar has a layer of mahogony glued over god knows what...and a maple neck. Anywhere you look on the net...even Epiphone's website says mahog. body and mahog. neck. So, I wrote to Gibson's customer relations dept. and they wrote back.."sorry about your disappointment, Epiphone is working to correct this spec change." B.S., I say B.S.!!! I am going to get rid of the damn thing and just buy a Gibson and be done with it.
