It's not really lyrics, but more like words in a lyrical-type format (wow, I used more words but somehow managed to attain less meaning!). I'll use this in a song someday, but I'd have to tighten it up a bit, try to get some more rhyming bits, maybe, who knows.
Random song - (C) 2004 by me
I thought that we were through
But now you're resurfacing
Like an injured submarine
Or is it a drowning swimmer?
And I don't know whether
to feel pity or horror
Or should I feel sorrow
Over the love we have lost
That we carelessly tossed... aside
So if you're drowning
I'll shed a tear
But if you're just floating
Then I'll wait and watch as you drift off
Into the endless sea
And I'll shove off, too
On this pyre for you and me
I'm swimming the same ocean
I'm treading the same black water
The sun hasn't gone down just for you
And I feel those waves breaking on my back, too
What we want is peace
In all senses of the word
May we also find relief
May we keep what has been shared
OK, release the hounds!!!
... and that's all I have to say about that.
