Thinking about a Parker Fly, not sure which model for sure yet. I know it's not a "purist" guitar, meaning guitar standards (Gibson, Fender) But they feel comfortable to me. Anybody using them? How do you like it? What type of music are you playing with it? I'll mostly be playing various types of Rock with it. Let me know. Thanks

They're ugly and expensive. You can get better bang for your buck from quite a few different companies including Godin, Cort, and Carvin.

I own 2 carvins, DC127 and a Bolt model. You can get all the specs and build and price one on their website. The DC127 is neck-thru all mahogany with a flamed maple top which is quite nice looking. Sperzels come standard on it. It's really a great guitar and you can tell just by picking it up and holding it that it was well-built. At LEAST as good as a $2800 PRS. The Bolt is Swamp Ash with a maple neck. I could talk about them both forever, but i wont...i'll just say that they both sound great, feel great and look great. Theres countless combinations of woods, finishes, and other options so i don't see how anyone could be disappointed with the features. The only thing thats not custom is the body shapes that you can work with. And theyve got a 30 day return policy, so if you order one and dont like it, you can return it (obviously you gotta pay to ship it back).

Carvin has long proven themselves a reliable company. Their products are very well put together and their pricing is great.

I still like the look and feel of the Parker's. Don't get me wrong I've owned a LP Studio, LP Custom, Tele. Currently my gear includes a Gibson SG and a Fender Strat Deluxe Plus (American, I do have to say this Strat looks, plays and sounds like no other strat.) I've checked out Carvin before, just hesitant for the simple fact, you don't know what your getting til you get it. But all has changed and I've decided on what I want... Music Man Petrucci (6) so this is what I'll be saving for. My commision check should be here in a few weeks, and should bring me about half way there... no where is that end of the year bonus???

Reason for the Music Man is JFrick has the EVH model and it is unbelievable, the neck, the tone, etc... I'm not the biggest Petrucci fan, but the guitar has everything I'm looking for. Let me know if anyone owns the Petrucci model and if they have any dislikes.
