shadowsfall/dreamtheatre sound how?

How do i get that shadows fall dream theatre sound its so beautiful and so thrash. can any one give me some tips on how i can achive such a great sound. such as mids,low,gain,high or tell me how i can achive this sound on the metal master pedal which has low, high, level and the digi boost. :confused:
