The only advice I can give is to start out slow with it to "train" your fingers on what notes to hit. Use a metronome, start at a comfortable speed, and increase the metronome speed in increments of about 5 bpm until you can play it at the original tempo.....
Using alternate picking on a fast lick usually makes it flow better, so yeah, I'd say use alternate picking. As for where to use hammer on's and pull off's, that's gonna be up to you. Using them will make the solo a little easier and at that speed, nobody will really be able to tell if your using them or not, so whatever makes it easier on you, go for it....

There aren't any. Well there are, but only on about three notes. Except the very first section. That's all hammer ons and pulloffs. The arpeggio type thing at the very beginning of the fast section.

thanks a lot, guys. but my question is especially about the beginning of the solo, the appregio thing. should this part be played with sweep picking or alternate p. ?

It should be played with pull offs one the e-string , and alternate the b-string .
e-17p12----------12-17p12----------12-17p12----------12-15p12---------
b-------13-12-13----------13-12-13----------13-12-13----------13-12-13-
However you can alternate it through out like the pattern at the end of michael angelo's speed kills . (start with a downstroke)
e-15-12-----------12--
b--------13-12-13----%
The way that sounds better (or easier ;) ) to you , is the right way.

I sometimes do the opposite on that solo, basically, you can just pick the e notes, hit the b string once, and then hammer/pull off the rest.
