I am taking music apprectiation as one of my elective class this year, and we listen to alot of great music, composers such as Vivaldi, Bach, Adams, Pachel Bel, and also artists such as The Beatles, The King Singers, and Victor Wooten. Personally I love all the music, but there are tons of kids who are like " this music sucks", and they don't even give it a chance. All they want to listen to is rap. I have listened to rap, some of it is ok, but i was not very impressed, but i gave it a chance.

People are really narrow minded sometimes.

I'm in a class like that called IB Music Theory. Its not just theory though, its a lot of history of music and such. I'm lucky though, because they're onlye like 8 kids in the class. They're all very open minded, and love music as much as I do. It really has been a great class for me so far this year. Only piece we really didn't like (so far) was a symphony by Haydn. All the cadences were the same, and it got really annoying.

Not at all!
Classcial music lives, very much so.
Ok It's not as dominating as it was in the 16th century, so if that's
what you call dead then yes, it's been dead for 200 years.
Not that many people listens to classical music today, but to say
that it's dying, that's wrong. There are many great composers today.

Half this generation dont have a clue what a Grieg or a Schumman or a Chopin song is.

Nor do they care what a Agustin Barrios song is.

Ya, at first I didn't like it but I've leearned to appreciate classical music and I find it quite good, but I still like rock better, I pretty much like all music except rap and pop.
If there's one thing I've learned, it's that life is one crushing defeat after another until you just wish Flanders was dead.

Rock stars ... is there anything they don't know?

Classical is gay... P. Diddy owns you all... (very much just kidding)
("gay" is used only as a "make fun" word, and is not trying to be discrminatory - if that's a word - to homosexuals, I apologize for this inconvenience)

Naw... Jazz is my favorite music, no doubt. Bebop kills. But I do enjoy listening to classical music, though a lot of the modern composers in the genre have ideas that go over my head.
There are only two important things in life - There's music and theres girls, not necessarily in that order....
