Yeah I am having a hard time figuring this tecnique out as well. How hard do you fret the notes when sweeping is it a light touch like harmonics or a hard one like used for chords.

i sweep softly,(like yngwie and jason becker does) and the coordination of my both hand sometimes not correct. i think that is because not enuff practicing i guess. but the noise created from the pull-offs really annoying... sigh

This noise when switching strings is a tricky technique to perform cleanly. The way I do it, is very slowly practice the sweep. As your pick moves down to the next string, plam mute the previous string you hit before, e.g if you pick on the 'D' string then as you move down to the 'G' string mute the 'D'. That is the way is the way I do it, I'm not saying that this is the only way to do it or the correct way for everyone to do it but that is the way it works for me. Hope that helps!! :)
My amp is a weapon of mas DISTORTION!!!!

If it's hard to mute each string individualy right after you're finished with it , try palm muting throughout ... Malmsteen does it like this a lot .
During a solo with music background and distortion, it's not very noticeable.
It sometimes sounds better in certain situations too.
