Hi everyone, this is my first post here, and I admit I'm a NOoOB , anyway, I was practising "nothing else matters" by metallica, then I didn't know how to place my fingers to play the

------2-------3-----
--------------------
chords , either my hand is too small and my fingers are short, :( or there's somthing else wrong... (by the way i'm 174cm, male, avarage hands size)

Plz you pro-guitarists, help me...

Thanx a lot....

Do it which ever way works or seems like the most natural and, as ever...

Just keep practicing and you will get it eventually !

Well, the problem is i didn't do it anytime with any condition to keep practising it. I tried using the 3rd and 4th fingers to the 2 5th frets, and the index finger to the second fret but it didn't work :(

well - but thats exactly the way you are supposed to do it.
keep trying and you´ll get the hang of it.

since the note on the 5th fret b-string is the same as the open e you could leave it away - makes the chord sound less full tho.

I play it with the ring and pinky on the G and B strings, respectively, and the index plays the two notes on the A string (B and C).

If I remember correctly, it was a pain for me to learn that intro section, but hours of practice spread out over a few days solved it for me.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

Why not? could you simply not reach that far? Because that won't be a problem after a while. Everyone has reaching problems in the beginning.

Well, That's a relief.
I thought that it's a sticky problem, today after 1.5 hours practising I managed to play the chords mentioned but slowly....

Ya, I've only been playing guitar for about 2 yrs, so I'm still kind of a begginer but when I first started I REALLY had stretching problems, especially since I am small and have very small hands, I still have reaching problems

I'm not an expert or anything, but practicing has enabled me to overcome every guitar related obstacle I've ever encountered. It's always gonna be your best bet.

That was one of the more complicated songs that I tried to learn and that stretch that your talking about took me months to learn. I got so frustrated with it that I wanted to quit but I enjoyed the song so much that I kept at it and finally got it. iIt ain't easy but it sure is worth it when you get it. :o
