ummmmmmmmmmm................. I've just been experimenting with this recording program and I just recorde this little solo. It's not very good though. As you can tell my timing is all screwed up on lead and I kind of screwed up some other things. Part of the problem was I can't figure out how to listen to track already recorded while recording a new one. I'm not that good, so ya......

The file in the .zip folder is a .vip file. I've never seen this file extension. What player play's this type of file?

oops, sorry, ya that won't work for anyone because I used this music recording program and I could only save as .vip, but I recorded another solo with just plain sound recorder, I'll pu that up later and it will work.

What program are you using? Most recording software will allow you to export the file to a .wav, .mp3, etc......Open your software program, go to help, and search for exporting files....

I don't have the program name right now but I will check when I can and let you know. It only lets me save as a virtual project. I'll tell you the name of the program as soon as I can.

You won't be albe to save the file as a .wav or .mps, you'll need to export the file to change the format. I don't know what the procedure is with the program your using, but I use Pro Audio 9, and I have to export it by an option called mixdown to file. That's another term to look up in your help section is Mixdown.

I'd suggest starting a thread in the recording section to get some ideas on how to record your band cheaply....Just be sure to list the equipment you have (recording software, soundcard, mics, etc....). You'll get more responses there. I'll add some input when you start that thread.....
