New member
Hey everyone, I'm a new member here- I just started getting back into playing the guitar. I played an acoustic for a few years, but stopped for reasons unknown. I've recently been borrowing an electric and trying to teach myself the basics and such. I've been attempting Iron Maiden verses, but am unsure of what else to learn, any suggestions would be helpful. I'm still in the beginning stages when it comes to changing chords fast enough, strumming the proper strings, and other basic techniques. This looks like a really nice board, and I hope to talk with you all.

Ah, why thank you, Jolly. I probably should have mentioned that you were the brilliant mind who refered me here.

Thanks for the welcome, Leedogg, this board does seem quite informative and I surely do have much to learn about guitar playing.

Ah, over the past months I've become quite an avid Maiden fan, I like mostly how they have technicality aspects of their songs while keeping the rock vibe. That and they're just downright awesome.

I like the lead singer's bitchin' 80's falsetto. The music is top notch metal too.

This is my 666th post. How fitting it should be on a thread where we're talking about Maiden. Let's do it Jolly, like we did a few weeks ago.

Bruce's vocals are surely some of the best I've heard in any metal, I wasn't too fond of Blaze Bayley who was his replacement for a few years there. To me, once Bruce was in, there wasn't anyone else who could compare to his vocals.

Hmmm... someone who knows the "real" Jolly... I wonder if he's truly as twisted as he seems to be on this forum...
... and that's all I have to say about that.
ALL generalizations are WRONG

Well...I kind of take offense to that...

Now, now...since when was twisted wrong in my book? And to say you are more than twisted means that you aren't on the same playing field as the generic twisted person.
I'd say Sideshow Bob is twisted...Jolly is more eccentric.
