whew! ok, that i can handle. that makes sense to me.
the person that made that statement was kind of bragging, and maybe they didn't know how to say what they meant, or were counting on me not knowing exacly what they were talking about. that cleared a lot up for me.

i have a handful of tapes from him, including him covering a good handful of songs. and believe it of not, i heard a lot of fast stuff in there that sounds a LOT like stevie ray vahn (sorry don't know the spelling) licks. but only on certian albums.
