This is my first attempt at lyrics; usually I do prose.

The Autumn Song (not the real title, but who knows?)

Autumn leaves are falling
But you're not calling
Summer's gone and I wonder
How I can go on

It's the same air we're breathing
The same sky we keep reading
Doesn't make us any closer
It can't bring us closer

When the leaves have fallen
And the trees are bare
Will you recognize the coolness
Of me not there?

The beauty of the sky
Is not lost on me
But each night that it burns
My thoughts they turn

... and that's it, I think. I can't really remember the rest, and I'm at work. Actually, there might not even be a "rest"; I haven't really mastered "telling a story" through lyrics.

Also, there is musical accompaniment for this. For those at home that want to strum along, it's something like Dadd9, Fsus2, C, G. I don't know whether those are the right chord names, actually, so, if it sounds like garbage, it's your fault. The way I play it, it sounds like Stairway to Heaven times 18.

EDIT: I forgot a verse, so I added it.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

ALL generalizations are WRONG
