*When you buy a new amp it's best to bring the amp into a reputable place and have the tubes "balanced", which means have the bias (on the cathodes of each tube, I believe) adjusted.....After that, if you have to replace the tubes, use the same manufacturur and type of tubes and you shouldn't have any problems.......As for the valve-state, they use a tube only for the pre-amp and they NEVER have to be adjusted or biased, regardless of the manufacturer....Rock on, bro.....I got 6 of the valvestates myself and 2 rack units.......:)

Those new AVT series Valvestates are really nice, I played on the 2x12 one at Sam Ash music in Coloumbus, OH. The tone is very thick, rich and full. Good amp choice.
