First of all, search the forums. There's a ton of forums that ask about theory. Then search on google.

After that ask any questions you have!

I'd say to start with learning the major scale in a given key (C Major's good cause there's no sharps/flats). Everything is based off the major scale from what I've been able to learn, from there you can figure out modal theory which are just scales derived from scales (same notes, just starting and stopping differently). Then you can learn about chord construction from scales. That should keep ya busy for a year or so. :)
Blues is easy to play, but hard to feel.

here may be a good starting point.
http://www.guitartricks.com/trick.php?trick_id=8078

to play a chromatic scale:

Pick a string, any string.

Play the open note then play the note of the first fret, and then the second and the then the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelfth fret. There you have just played a chromatic scale over an octave.

There are definitions rooted in physics (like multiples of the number of cycles per second) however for all practical purposes play your bottom sting open (no notes fretted) and then place your finger behind the 12th fret on the same string. Now pluck the sting.

The difference between the open note and the note on the 12th fret of the same string is an octave !

I've learned alot off of this site: http://www.zentao.com/guitar/theory/

As previously said start reading about the major scale then go to the Intervals- and Triadsarticles. Not sure if I should point this out enough since it should be obvious, but if you really have intentions to learn, read through this thouroughly. Get a pen and paper and write some down and put it to practice when you think you are ready.

Good luck / break a leg!
