i am usually quite annoyed by people talking during the movies. However, i have also been the culprit a number of times. I don't talk for the heck of talking but usually because someone asks me a question.

In the first 20 min of Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, my friends kept asking me question (because i have read the books once a year since 1998), and it’s not like there was anything happening in the first 20 mins anyway, but we got told to "shhhh....." by the guy in front. Conversely, that’s really the only time in the cinemas.

i say in the cinemas because me and my friend get together for a DVD night, and we mute the sound and make our own words for the movie, and they usually have something to do with homosexuality, or a very heterosexually challenged. So i do talk through movies, but not usually in the cinemas.
