Well I have an MG series and for solid state it is OK however I want tubes !
I have had AVTs (tube solid state hybrids) and I really don't like them so they were out.

I have seen the JCM800 and JCM900 in action and they were cool but old hat so I thought I'd go for the good old JCM2000. I tinkered with one in a store and liked it so figured I'd take the plunge.

The bells and whistles on the TSL were cool and it had a VPR feature (virtual power reduction which turns it into a 25 w studio amp) in-conjunction with a power-break attenuator means I can get those tubes saturated with out blowing off the roof (which I suspect it is more than capable of doing !).

Anyway it arrived yesterday and I just can't believe how big it is. My whole mind recoils at the sheer size of the bruit ! I have attached a couple of photoes however they just don't do it justice !

It sounds very nice out of the box however I have some major exploring to do with all of those buttons !

My instructors page and www.studiotrax.net for all things recording.
