my opinion is new wave is bad. I've never heard of any of those bands, they sound bad, new wave is bad. I don't like those bands.

Theyre actually not too bad, particularly Unearth, it seems that talent and passion is slowly returning to music....finally

Killswitch and Lamb of God are awesome.... Unearth is ok, kind of annoying after a couple of listens... There are also more bands ( american/european).... Such as The Dillinger Escape Plan, Mastadon, and Hatebreed.

Also, while not American metal, rather swiss metal (not death or black believe it or not, just straight metal) the band Wolf, whom ive recently discovered arent half bad, worth a listen if nothing else. But yea Mastadon are from my hometown of Atlanta, GA and I actually knew them all pretty well, we'd jam every once in a while, but between them getting signed and me moving to Savannah weve lost touch :(

hey geogre u should give these bands a listen if you really like metal there bringing real metal back to the masses
