Plus it depends on how you have it all rigged up, if the guitar goes through the effects then to the main input of the amp then your sound is pretty much based solely upon the effects, however if the guitar goes straight to the main input of the amp and you utilize the FX loop of your amp then your amps sounds rings true with the effects added on top
