*shrug* Whatever.

It was suggested to me by the initial password Guitar.com supplied to me when I signed up. This was about two years before the LOTR movie madness started. I deliberately misspelled it to keep J.R.R. Tolkien's lawsuit-happy estate off my case. It was a link at the Guitar.com website that led me here. I haven't been back since. GT is my home, now.

:)
It was a link at guitarnoise.com that led me here, and although I do go there occasionally and it's really a cool site and all, I could also say that GT is my home as well.

I feel that it is a supreme display of self-control that Lordathestrings let this thread live...
... and that's all I have to say about that.

Everybody has their own set of priorities. It probably helps that I haven't seen the movie, so I don't get into a quandry about it.

I found a semi-cool feature; when you post a new post, the url says
for example showpost=23746, which is your post, the 23746th post ever,
so you can see who wrote post nr. 43256 for example.
Iamthe_eggman is a bit of a even post hunter.
He has the 999th, the 1000th and the 50001st post.

Wicked. I always knew I was special. The first hint, though, was when I was sent to school on the short bus.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

Well, not so much that it's about you, but more so the pointlessness of the post, coupled with it being in the flagrantly wrong section.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

Is it just me or are these pointless threads the ones that always
gets most views, posts and discussions?
I've seen it on every forum I've ever been to, car-forums, design-forums,
you name it. Someone starts by posting something pointless.
Soon you have a comment on how pointless it is.
Then another, then another. Soon you have comments on how pointless
the comments are. Soon you have a full-blown post-explosion, often not
even near the original subject (which is often not really a subject either).
Just look at this thread:
10 posts in under 24 hours in a thread only containing a more or less witty
remark on a persons name. Thats way beyond average.

None taken. :)

As mc9mm has pointed out, threads like this one tend to draw an unusual amount of traffic. That suits me fine. Maybe people will be more aware of this part of the forum, and they'll actually post here when it's appropriate, instead of putting everything in Open Discussion. ;)

I have a WHITE umbrella that I use when there's no rain at all!

It's on my patio table to provide shade from the sun. ;)
