What do you want to do with it ?

Bedroom guitar (low wattage, sounds nice at low volume) ?

Small gigs (need big amp as guitar may not go through PA) ?

big gigs (anything you like however probably best to to go too big as if you crank it too hard on stage you can't here your self think) ?

recording (versatile, has line out, not too big) ?

I have just got a Marshall micro stack MG15II (Head and 2 cabs each with a 10" speaker). It cost me about 300 bucks and it is great. The emulated line out is giving me problems at the moment however that is not a show stopper as it sounds great.
My instructors page and www.studiotrax.net for all things recording.
