My tuner has been working for about a year now (I got my RP200A around a year ago) and all of a sudden the tuner doesn't work.

I tuned my guitar to a piano... and the tuner says that my high e string is a Gb.... and as I SLOWLY detune it... it goes straight to Eb... It skips F and E entirely! Then it stays on the Eb until it gets down to like a Db...

All of the notes are screwed up... I just can't figure out what's wrong.

Any advice? This is a big problem for me... cuz my guitar goes out of tune easily and I don't have the time to go find a piano to get in tune with... and no money to buy a nice new tuner.

Do you think I should just factory reset it? Any other solutions?

I posted this same message on the digitech forums... I'm hoping between the two of them I'll get a reply...

thanx!

Have you checked the calibration of the tuner ?

I once inadvertently changed the calibration (away from A440) after a particularly busy recording session. I came to lay down an over dub and was totally mystified by tuning ! The first two guitar tracks were tuned to A440 and the third one to A447.

Took me a while to figure out want the problem was !

Check out the part of the Manuel that deals with calibration though I would imagine a swift factory reset will also do the job. If you do go the factory rest rout you will loose all your user patches unless you back em up. I don't know if this is a problem however I figured it was worth mentioning !

Unfortunately, I've lost my manual (which of course... is typical)...

I only really need two or three presets on there... so to reset won't be a problem... no to find out how to reset...

thanx a lot!

How old are the batteries?

Do you mute all other strings when you play the open E (or whatever string you're tuning)?

Is the volume knob on your guitar all the way up?
... and that's all I have to say about that.
