I'm assuming it's impossibe to change from a floyd rose to a fixed bridge, if it is possible, does anyone know how much it would cost?

I've finally decided that floyd rose's are too much trouble; can't change guage, can't do alternate tunings and can't restring without taking possibly hours to do a decent job.

I think i'm gonna have to end up buying a new guitar...

It's possible, but expensive. I'd say, try to sell the thing and buy yourself a nice fixed bridge/string-thru body guitar in stead.

Unless you have a major emotional attachment for your current guitar, I think SPL has it right. The Floyd Rose trem sits in a large hole, and filling it properly to mount a fixed bridge may be more trouble than it's worth.
